Tyler and I once worked a wedding together. I had given him my business card and he held onto it...recalling what an impression JP and I had left on him. So when he and Mandi began planning their own wedding, he naturally reached out. He was so kind right from the start and I couldn’t wait to meet Mandi, knowing she would be just as sweet. People like Mandi+Tyler can be hard to come by these days but when you do, it makes your heart happy that your paths crossed. These two exude love, friendship and their hearts are bigger than most. So of course their wedding day was filled with all of that and more!

Tyler and Mandy first met each other while still in high school. A mutual friend tried to set them up together but as Tyler put it “I was a dumb boy not knowing the worth of the woman i just met”. Life continued on until one night they chatted together at a party. Mandy agreed to a date and Tyler was determined to impress her. So of course making sure his old truck was spotless was a no brainer and the first step in winning her over. That night they drove around, just talking and getting to know one another. They ended the night looking at stars and talking about life and space in the bed of Tyler’s truck. They officially started dating after seeing a Transformers movie. Once the movie was over, they went for a drive, Tyler took a hard right into an open field off a main road, where they got out of the truck. Standing in the dark with nothing but the headlights to light them up, Tyler asked Mandi to be his girlfriend. And so began the start of a lifelong relationship.

It was their five year anniversary when Tyler decided to propose. Tyler took Mandi on a day out going around to a few of the places they had made memories at since they had begun dating. They took his camera, and a tripod so they could take photos at each spot. Admittedly they were out for hours, driving all around trying all sorts of aesthetics and poses. Towards the end of the day, they were at a pond they loved fishing together at...and then Mandi got stung by a bee. She was entirely done and over the day at that point, but Tyler insisted they take one more photo! Mandi was un-thrilled, annoyed, and confused why Tyler was so gungho, but went along with it. Trying to be a good sport. Tyler drove down the gravel road to the spot they went that first night together, trying to arrive in time for the sunset. After hiding her ring in his sock all day, he got down on one knee, while fumbling to get the ring out of his sock, Tyler asked Mandi to marry him. Of course she said yes and looking back they both agree the day and moment were perfect despite the few small mishaps. 

These two have such a good sense of humor, kind hearts and are just genuinely good people. They compliment each other so well and it’s so beautiful that they ended up together!

Their wedding day took place on a gorgeous September afternoon. We began the day with the ceremony taking place in a sunlight drenched church, which created a unique crisp and bright look. From there they jumped into their limo with their wedding party and headed off to Renshaw Farms. Once at the venue they went from limo to hay wagon for their wedding party portraits. Thanks to Renshaw Farms, we got to see some of the best parts of the farm! We ended that portion of the day with Tyler and Mandi on top of an open hill overlooking the venue property and the valley below. It was the perfect spot to catch the late afternoon sun! Their reception was full of dancing and celebrating, and once announced Mandy even showed off her pair of custom wedding Nikes that her mom created just for her! Their day was nothing short of magical and we couldn’t be happier that they invited us to tag along to document it.

Witnessing the way Tyler adores Mandi and the way Mandi uplifts Tyler is something we won't soon forget about as it was on a level not often seen. We are so honored that we could play a small part in such a grand day within their relationship and can't wait to see where life takes these two!
