Boho Backyard Wedding | Ashley+Bill

Bill and Ashley tied the knot on a hot July day in Bill’s parent’s backyard. The gorgeous details from big florals to vintage rugs elevated the environment as they committed to and celebrated their love! The boho vibes would have made any popular venue jealous. The love and tenderness Ashley and Bill share is something so unique in today’s world. We are so honored they chose us to document such a big moment in their lives and it was such a joy spending the day celebrating with all of the people they love!

Ashley and Bill met on a chilly night in January 2020, right before the world changed. Ashley was new to the area and had recently joined a church group to get connected with others in the community. Bill happened to be there that night. Ashley thought he was “a total character and could tell he was into her because he keeps looking at her"! But if you ask Bill, his first impression of Ashley was that her "intelligence and complexity ran as deep as her beauty." Like how sweet is that?? Though they did have a few things in common at the time, Ashley wasn't looking for anyone to date but rather just wanted to make friends. However, over time their friendship grew. When the pandemic hit, their friendship got closer as they spent more time together. Their first official date was at Moon Park, they walked around and played on the swingset like big kids and then got Primanti’s and had a movie night. Sounds like a pretty good first “official” date to me!

In the summer of 2020, mid-pandemic Bill proposed to Ashley at an abandoned overlook in Coraopolis. Since so many things were closed during this time, they had gotten creative with date ideas. They would visit the overlook often with drinks in hand just to watch the sunset together. One evening, while there Bill began asking questions like "so what do you think about spending our life together?" At that point Ashley knew what was coming. When he popped the question they were both so excited all they could do was giggle!

Their love for one another and the genuine connection they share was truly a beautiful thing to witness first hand. You can just tell that these two are going to be the sweet old couple winning the anniversary dance in about 60 years. And we can’t wait to see where this life takes them!
