Spring Wedding at The Mansion on Fifth | Josie+Steve

Josie+Steve, two people that are just meant to be. They love spending time at home with their kitty Natty or out on the trails playing disc golf with their pup Nuggie. They are down to earth, caring and so much fun to be around!

Their March wedding at Mansion on Fifth had a laid back yet elegant style to it. Making it perfect for their intimate wedding and cocktail party style reception.

Josie wore a sheath style dress with lace train, paired with gold sparkle combat style wedding boots. Steve wore a black tux with champagne tie and accents.

They chose to share a first look together pre-ceremony, which took place in one of the grand side dining rooms of the mansion. Afterwards we all took a walk around Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood for the first portrait session of the day.

Next it was time for their short but so sweet ceremony, held on the grand staircase inside of Mansions on Fifth. The light coming through the large stained glass windows made for a perfect backdrop as these two said I do.

Before heading in for their reception they opted to for more time spent wandering around the neighborhood, for a second round of photos, this time during golden hour. They even stopped and chatted with a local married couple out for an evening walk. It was so sweet getting to see this couple wishing them well (married for over 30years) and gushing over the fact they had just gotten married.

Josie+Steve were so intentional about spending time with each other on their wedding day, wanting to spend a good bit of time together away from their guests. This kept them enjoying their day and still allowed for them to have plenty of time to dance and chat with everyone later in the evening.

Once they arrived back at their reception they shared a first dance and cut their cake before the dinner stations opened. They kept it laid back with no formal seating chart, food stations that were open most of the evening, a full bar and a packed dance floor. It was clear that their guests loved this casual set-up!

Josie+Steve’s have a way of making you feel welcome and included, making us feel more like we were there to enjoy the wedding and less like we were working. Seriously, these two are the best! They share such a genuine connection, friendship and love and we know that those qualities are only going to get better in the years to come. Cheers to this next adventure, congrats Josie+Steve!
