Rural Pennsylvania Wedding | Rachael+Nick
Nick and Rachael’s rural Pennsylvania wedding was filled with elegant touches and meaningful moments. The day began out in West Sunbury, PA. Rachael, getting ready in the home her and Nick share. While Nick relaxed and wrote his vows at his gun shop down the road. They came together before the ceremony for a first look and from there we walked to the family pond. The ceremony took place next to the pond, located on property in rural Pennsylvania. It was so serene, simple yet breath taking.
Rachael and Nick have known each other for a long time. They grew up going to the same school and Nick was even friends with Rachael's brother. But when they began dating it had been years since they had even said hi one another. Nick was in search of a date to take to a friends wedding and Rachael's brother suggested he should take her. You could say the rest is history!
So how did Nick propose to Rachael? Rachael was at her parents house where she lived at the time. Patiently waiting for Nick to arrive the following day from an out of town work trip. Instead, Nick showed up a day early. With cake in hand, that said "will you marry?" It was a huge surprise and of course Rachael said yes! Flash forward and they now have a beautiful baby boy, a home together and now get to call each other husband and wife!
From the pond, we headed to the reception at the Crystal Ballroom at the Days Inn in Butler, PA for a total switch up! It was so fun having two totally different vibes during the wedding day! Once announced Rachael and Nick danced, cut their wedding cake and enjoyed celebrating in the grand elegant ballroom filled with their favorite people!
As the sun began to set, I knew we had to advantage of the warm early summer light. We took a few minutes after dinner to sneak the two of them outside for our first real golden hour of the season! Let's just say some magic was created in a very unsuspecting parking lot. It's all about those angles! Rachael and Nick looked stunning and are so in love, and the time we spent with them outside was the perfect to end this romantic, classic wedding day!
