Autumnal Pennsylvania Countryside Elopement | Nikki+Jesse
Nikki+Jesse wanted a relaxed elopement day that included time spent in nature, the fall PA colors and delicious local food+beer. Taking place at the end of October, their autumn elopement featured all of this and more!
Nikki+Jesse met on Hinge, after hitting it off pretty quickly, Jesse suggested they meet up for a trivia night at Fuzzy’s taco shop. They recall “The food was horrible, but the night was a lot of fun!” Later, they got engaged after they had viewed the Van Gogh Alive exhibit at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Jesse remembers “I was too nervous to get on a knee and make a scene, so I proposed while we were both sitting.” That didnt phase Nikki and of course she said yes!
Though they both currently live in Florida, Nikki is from Pennsylvania. When it came to photos they opted for the best of both worlds. In September they invited us down to St. Augustine for their engagement session, highlighting the historic architecture and old world charm that they enjoy. For their elopement they flew to Pennsylvania, choosing The Jacqueline House of Wilmington as their main location. Located near Westminster College where Nikki attended, in the heart of Amish country. The setting was idyllic rural PA in the autumn. A stark contrast to the southern atmosphere of Florida.
They started off the day by getting ready separately, as their small group of guests began to arrive. Once ready they shared a private first look on the front porch of The Jacqueline House. Nikki wore a beautiful white boho gown with lace details and bell sleeves, while Jesse donned a navy blue suit and burgundy tie.
After their first look they shared a short outdoor ceremony with their friends and family, officiated by Nikki’s close friend. From the custom ceremony script to the personal vows, there were plenty of laughs and tears making for a truly sincere event.
Once the ceremony was finished everyone enjoyed a light lunch before Jesse+Nikki snuck off for a few hours to take photos and to enjoy their afternoon together. We started out at the grounds of Westminster College, taking advantage of the beautiful architecture. We then headed over to Hop Asylum Brewing. Stopping in for a quick beer break before making our way over to a local nature trail. We all enjoyed a beautiful golden hour around the lake and memorial labyrinth.
As the light began to fade we headed back to The Jacqueline House where Jesse+Nikki shared a private first dance out on the patio. They ended their elopement day by meeting back up with friends and family at Brew 32 Craft Brewery to celebrate!
Nikki+Jesse’s relaxed weekend elopement included everything they envisioned. Skipping many traditional elements and doing things their way was the perfect way for this funny+kind couple to tie the knot. We had so much fun spending the day with them and wish them so much happiness in the years to come!
