Romantic Eastern PA Elopement | Franki+Tony
When you think about planning to elope in Pennsylvania, what comes to mind? Pennsylvania is a picturesque state that is home to stunning natural scenery and rich history. Many couples choose to elope here because of the beautiful landscapes and unique historic architecture. Elopements in Pennsylvania can range from intimate ceremonies at a private estate to adventurous elopements in the great outdoors. The state also offers a wide range of vendors to make your day extra special, from talented photographers and florists to cozy bed and breakfasts for a romantic getaway. Overall, eloping in Pennsylvania can be a magical and unforgettable experience for couples seeking a day that’s unique and romantic. For Franki+Tony this couldn’t have been more true.
With Franki's research, they found the most aesthetically pleasing cabin in the woods where they could spend the day getting ready and enjoying each other's company. They then set out for a picnic tucked into the side of a meadow, surrounded by the sounds of nature. The picturesque rolling hills made for the perfect backdrop as the couple shared private vows with one another. For their first dance, we chose a secluded section of Blue Marsh Lake, where they could dance hand in hand. Afterwards we made a quick stop for photos overlooking the surrounding mountains and lake, just before the skies opened up into a heavy downpour. We then made our way back to the Airbnb to meet up with family for their small ceremony.
Though it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding ceremony, Mother Nature had other plans. Franki and Tony shifted their plans and moved the wedding ceremony inside as the rain continued to fall heavily. These two totally embraced it, realizing as they were surrounded by their closest family and friends, that the location didn't matter. What mattered was the love they shared, and the commitment they were making to each other.
After the short ceremony they opted for a short break before heading off to their reception dinner. I love building breaks like this into a couples timeline, especially for introverted or more private couples since it gives them a minute to recharge and stay present during the day. To finish out the day they celebrated with their loved ones at a historic little spot; Dan’s at Green Hills, where they enjoyed delicious food and drinks while reminiscing about the magical day.
Franki+Tony's elopement day was incredible and we loved every minute we spent documenting these two...even with the rain and several other unexpected moments, nothing could stop these two from celebrating this part of their love story! It was truly an unforgettable, magical day!
