Victoria+Zach | Small+Intimate Rural Pennsylvania Wedding

It was January of 2019 when I first met with Zach + Victoria at our local Eat n’ Park. We munched on appetizers and talked about their two cats. I knew then that we were going to have some really fun times together in the year and a half leading up to their wedding! Kind, supportive and down to earth, the type of people that just make you feel good when you are around them.

Victoria+Zach met at a bowling alley in Slippery Rock, PA after a mutual friend introduced them. Though at the time Zach was kind of shy and didn't get to talk to her much that night while around the group of friends. But he knew he wanted to see her again, so he asked her on a second date. Little to his surprise she was up for it! Though not much conversation happened the first time, on their second date they spent hours driving around, talking and laughing. In Zach’s words “It was so great to just talk and laugh together, it felt so natural!”

In January of 2019 Zach proposed to Victoria outside of the bowling alley where they first met. Naturally she said yes and afterwards they grabbed dinner at their favorite local spot, The North Country Brewery. The perfect way to celebrate making the commitment to spending the rest of their lives together!

As their wedding day approached it became clear that they would be shifting their original plans due to Coronavirus. Originally they looked forward to a large wedding at Pinehall at Eisler Farms, including an extensive wedding party and guest list. But like the rest of the world they had to adapt. Deciding to still get married on their original date but on a much smaller scale.

With just their immediate family, the day began with the two of them getting ready in the cottage at Pine Hall, followed by a truly intimate church ceremony. As they exited the church a surprise waited for them, tons of family and friends had filled the front lawn, waving streamers and holding signs. Shouting congratulations and well wishes, minutes after they said “I do”. It was an intensely beautiful show of love and support. The world definitely needs more of that kind of love.

We spent the rest of the afternoon with them feeding goats and wandering around the grounds at Pinehall at Eisler Farms. Victoria kept stating how relaxing and fun the day had been. And even mentioned at one point that this is what they should have done all along.

We worked so closely to ensure that they still had the most amazing day so hearing this brought me so much joy. Even though their wedding day changed drastically, they fully embraced the changes and truly allowed themselves to enjoy it. Seeing them so happy and just in the moment is honestly why I support intentional intimate weddings. I loved that such sweet people got to experience their wedding day in that way. Next year they will be doing a vowel renewal and reception. They are so blessed as they get all of the benefits of both a small wedding and a big party!

Victoria+Zach, thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us serve you fully over the past year. Thank you for being so supportive and for becoming our friends. You two truly have the best hearts. We are so excited to celebrate with you again next year and are continuously grateful for you! I know that the love you share and your faith will bring you so many beautiful years together, congratulations!
