Trendy Winter City Elopement | Melissa+James
When Melissa reached out to me about her+James’ February elopement we had just under four weeks to plan a February elopement in Pittsburgh. They knew they wanted a simple yet elegant feel to the day.
At the top of their priority list was getting cool photos including a few with their German Shepard, Stella. The unique settings/locations throughout their day made this priority easy to achieve. Melissa+James were able to use a friend’s beautiful bright old farmhouse to get ready at. Which kept their morning simple and stress free. From there they headed to the North Way Christian Community Church in Dormont for a small ceremony with 20 of their favorite people.
For their private dinner they chose to reserve Wild Rosemary, an intimate bistro with a seasonal menu and eclectic decor. Before celebrating with drinks and food they stepped outside for a few minutes of quality time in front of our camera. We wandered around together taking advantage of the outdoor fireplace and industrial vibe of the nearby lots. These settings made for some truly unique photographs for the two of them!
Their simple, thoughtful day is proof that planning the perfect elopement doesn't have to take months when you focus on the elements that matter most to you!
