BARN AT SOERGEL HOLLOW WEDDING | HOLLY&CHRIS

Last week Jp and I photographed Holly and Chris’s wedding. Their friendship started in the 5th grade, by 11th grade Holly and Chris were dating.  After a life long friendship and almost a decade of loving each other, they said I do among the trees at the beautiful Barn at Soergel Hollow.

When you smiled at me, I knew I wanted to look at that smile forever.”

The day began at a hotel, where Holly had a team of girls from Wanderlust Beauty and NC Hair Studio doing hair and make-up.  She had the prettiest of details, including diamond-studded cowboy boots! The girls and the guys finished getting ready in the most adorable cabins, which fit perfectly with Holly’s rustic country décor.

Despite being a classic barn venue nestled in Prospect PA, the property has some very unique scenery. A few of my faves were the mature ripe apple orchards, hops growing up towards the sky, and the perfect sunset views!

Throughout the day there was a lot of emotion…tears and laughter. I only cried about three times!  I always tell my couples, if you cry I’m going to tear up too. And with so much genuine love and appreciation for the couple, it was nearly impossible to not get caught up in it.

Holly and Chris are super goofy with one another, but equally as sweet.  You can tell they have been in love for a long time…as there is a level of comfort that radiates between the two of them.

Throughout the day Chris was pulling out all of the classic romantic gestures. Kissing Holly’s forehead, wrapping her up in his arms, and smiling at her with such a strong love in his eyes. Their love is natural and pure and the world needs more love stories like this one.

Hilarious toasts, local BBQ from Benny's Catering & Events and um a cake from Oakmont Bakery?! Who wouldn't want to celebrate that way?
