Circuit Center Ballroom Wedding | Kira&Steve

I met Kira while second shooting a wedding with my photographer friend Katie. Kira was there assisting with us for the day after Katie had surgery. Wedding photographers…we don’t stop for anything! When it came time for Kira’s wedding day she knew Katie would be a part of it so she obviously needed someone else to be the photographer. I was so happy she chose me! Kira and Steve are really fun people; they love to drink and are always down for a good time! Their wedding day was nothing short of this.

Kira began the day by getting ready at her parents house, surrounded by her closest girlfriends and family. Oh and even her pup was there for the action! It was a laid back beginning to all of the wild times soon to take place.

Once we arrived at the church we met up with the guys for the short traditional ceremony. I loved the bright light that flooded through the church and the arched ceiling. The ceremony went effortlessly and once over it was time to party!

We traveled to Schenley Park for wedding party photos where we were sure to document the torn suit leg of one the groomsmen...hey it was part of the day. After finishing in the park, we managed our way to the University of Pittsburgh, where Kira attended college. The campus is so beautiful and the Cathedral of Learning is the perfect backdrop for portraits.

After we finished up in Oakland it was time to head over the South Side where the Circuit Center is located. Conveniently close to the Hot Metal Bridge, I knew we had to take advantage of this iconic Pittsburgh spot.  I stole Kira and Steve for a few more minutes before the real party kicked off inside. During the portraits we dodged cyclists on the bridge and even had cars stopping and honking in a congratulatory fashion. None of these distractions could keep Kira and Steve from showing just how in love they are!

The Circuit Center is a blank canvas making it the perfect venue to decorate however a couple chooses to. Kira went with purple and gold tones, with large hydrangea flowers as her centerpieces. The reception room was stunning!

The guests were a ton of fun and ready to party the night away with the newly wed couple…hardly letting them leave the dance floor.

Throughout the day there was so much genuine celebration and love being shared among everyone. Kira and Steve definitely know how to throw a party...I mean wedding! Congrats to this crazy madly in-love couple!
